Child safety
How we keep your child safe
We have zero tolerance for child abuse of any kind.
Our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy is written to meet Victoria's Child Safe Standards, and it binds every adult we engage, paid or not, across every class, every hired venue and all online contact.
What that means in practice
Who is allowed near your child
Every adult holds a current Working with Children Check before their first session. We record the card number and expiry, verify it online, and check expiry dates every year. An expired or suspended check stops that person working with students the same day.
Who is watching them
At least two adults are present at any in-person session, and nobody supervises alone on their first day. One-to-one contact out of sight of another adult does not happen.
How they arrive and leave
Students are signed in at the door and signed out at the end, and are released only to a parent or to an adult that parent has nominated in writing. A child who is unwell waits with an adult while we call you.
How to raise a concern
Tell us and we will act on it the same day. You never have to come through us: the contacts below are independent of Accel Education and you can use them directly at any time.
The full document sets out supervision ratios, breaks, photography and consent, what every adult signs, and the reporting and escalation path in full. Read the full child safety policy.
