Timed to the real limits
Each section runs to the same time limit as the exam, started and stopped from the front.
A hired hall
Ashwood Hall, booked for the morning. Every candidate is checked in at the desk and walked to an allocated seat before the paper starts.
Photo ID checked at the door
Checked against the attendance list on arrival, the same as on exam day.
Phones collected
Into a tray at the desk, returned at dismissal.
Invigilated
For the whole morning, including the breaks. Students stay in the building.
Papers reconciled before anyone leaves
Every paper is counted back against the attendance list at the end, so nothing walks out of the hall.

How the morning runs
| 8:45am | Doors open. Registration and ID check, phones into the tray, then students are seated. |

| 9:30am | Mathematics and Quantitative Reasoning, 60 minutes. |
| 10:30am | Collection, 5 minutes. Papers are collected while students stay seated. |
| 10:35am | Break, 20 minutes. Students stay in the building. |
| 10:55am | Instructions, 5 minutes. The next booklets are already on the desks. |
| 11:00am | Reading and Verbal Reasoning, 55 minutes. |
| 11:55am | Collection and instructions, 5 minutes. Papers are collected and the writing booklets handed out. |
| 12:00pm | Writing, creative and persuasive, 40 minutes. |
| 12:40pm | Papers collected and phones returned, 20 minutes. |
| 1:00pm | Dismissal. Please collect your child from the hall. |
What to bring
Your admission confirmation
The email we send you. Printed or on a phone, either is fine.
Photo ID (a school ID card is fine)
Checked at the desk against the attendance list. A school card, a library card with a photo, or a passport all work.
Two blue or black pens
For the writing sections.
A pencil and an eraser
The multiple choice answers are shaded in, so they need a pencil.
A clear water bottle with no label
Labels come off so nothing can be written on them.
A snack for the break
There is a 20 minute break at 10:35.
Phones go into a tray at the door and come back at dismissal, the same as on exam day. We provide the paper, the answer sheets and a clock.
